Head West Sub Stop in Springfield

One of our favorite sub shops in town. They will make any of their sandwiches into a salad if you are gluten free. They don't skimp on the sandwich ingredients when they do this either.😊

I'm an out-of-towner and i was just looking for a good lunch... Head West was the perfect solution. Walking distance from the hotel, and the Italian sub was delicious on their homemade rye roll. Really good. The jerk chicken soup was also terrific. Highly recommend.

Huge subs for the price. The sweet bread is really good. I couldn't recommend the meatball sub more.

Great service. We usually order 2 number 8 subs. These subs are delicious and plenty big. They make Subway subs look puny! The prices are much better than Subways too. We highly recommend Head West Subs!!

The subs here are well-above average but a little too highly priced. It is difficult to find, if you don't live nearby. I had to be led there the first time I went. The staff are very friendly, and it is a good place to pick up a take-out lunch.

Head West Subs' reuben sandwich is delicious, with ample portions of meat, and grilled hot - I was satisfied and full, when I finished eating it. The next time, I plan to ask for the sandwich to be cut in half, to make it easier to eat, and to take the other half home (or share it).

Great place to grab something to eat. Try the Italian!! Worth the extra money! I like mine with banana peppers and black olives but you can get what you like.

I forgot to take pics, but I had a Turkey sub on rye, toasted, with potato soup, it was delicious. My son had the broccoli cheddar soup and liked it.

Its unfortunate that they don't value their customers been going there for years had my sandwich made properly brought it to the managers attention and got hung up on. Poor management and bad customer service and they wonder why businesses keep going out of business. . . Without customers employees wouldn't have paycheck

My server, Evan, was very patient and helpful to a first time customer. The sandwiches were great and were made very fast considering he was the only one there. I wish I had more money on me to give him a bigger tip. Definitely would recommend and will come back.

Good experience when I came in. This is one of the many Headwear shops that we have and the quality shows in this establishment as well. The only thing I have against it is its location. This store is located pretty far off the main road so you either have to Google for this store, see it in passing when you go to a neighboring store, or see it by dumb luck. But regardless they deliver quality sandwiches and desserts every time I go in so I am happy to support this local business and would highly recommend it.

Stopped here on a roadtrip (prefer to frequent local businesses rather than chain franchises) and the reuben on rye toasted was very tasty! Highly recommend and Illinois State troopers were there so you know it’s good if the cops are eating there too
